Wonder how many homes are selling ‘short’, are bank owned or non-distressed? Some people just want to see short sales or bank owned because they are a good deal. Welllllll, maybe yes. However, they are all competing against each other, and it doesn’t help out the banks if they liquidate at a low price. This graph shows the listings and sales for the 1st and 2nd quarters of 2012. The non-distressed are alive and well.

What says ‘Sellwood’ more than 8 –  20 foot high recycled metal columns?   Answer – more than the other 29 proposals. Actually I’m being a bit snarky. I’ll have to see them in person to know for sure, but this seems very cool. The colors of the columns represent the different layers of the Willamette River. Blue, Blackened Steel, Weathered Copper, etc, with imprints of plant, fish, and stuff. See the pic!
